About Us
Our Story
Putaruru Electrical has been serving the South Waikato region for over 50 years, carrying out all aspects of electrical installations and servicing, undertaking numerous contracts and projects over the years. Founded in 1959 by Jack Moore, the company was sold to Tony Jacques in 1974, who in turn sold the business to Wayne and Jan Bullot in 1997. Wayne had managed the company prior to purchasing it.
When Wayne decided to step away from the company in 2023, long-serving team members Cody Green and Richard Keijzer became shareholders and assumed the day-to-day management of the business before acquiring full ownership in 2025. Having dedicated much of their careers to Putaruru Electrical, Cody and Richard bring extensive experience and are proud to continue to build on the company’s tradition of quality workmanship, dependable service, and strong community connections.
Putaruru Electrical is a member of ECANZ (Electrical Contractors of New Zealand) who set very high standards for members in terms of quality of business practices, service, facilities, and staff.
